What you need
A phone each. One person starts a game, picks how many couples are playing, and reads out
the code. Everyone else types it in on their own phone.
The idea
You are on the same team. Each round shows a scale with two ends, like mild salsa
to spicy salsa. One of you sees a hidden spot somewhere along it and types a clue.
The other drags the dial to where they think that spot is. You swap jobs every round.
The clue
A word or a short phrase. The clue can't be a number, because "70" is the answer and not
a clue. "7 layer dip" is fine.
Screens
Keep your screens to yourselves until the reveal. The giver's phone shows the spot, and
the game only works if the other person does not see it.
Scoring
When the dial is locked in, you both see where it landed. The closer it is, the more it
scores: four points in the middle band, three in the next, two in the
outer one, and nothing past that. There are seven rounds, so the most you can score is 28.
You get one try on each.
With other couples
Every couple gets the same scale at the same time, with the spot in a different place for
each. Nobody sees another couple's clue or dial until every couple has locked in. Then all
of them are shown together. The couple with the most points at the end wins.
Couples are paired in the order the phones join. Not next to your partner? Tap their name
in the list of players, before anyone taps Start.
Nothing you type is saved
No accounts, no email. What you type lives only for the length of the game and the room
deletes itself afterwards. There is no way to go back and read it, on purpose, including for
us. The game keeps one anonymous count a day of games started, games finished and taps on the
subscribe button. Nothing in it identifies you or your game.
